About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Summer Intern to join the Industrial Commercial Energy group in Bay City, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site and collaborate with various departments, including Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers in developing spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
- Copy and scan project-related drawings.
- Work alongside project managers and engineers while following direction.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients to maintain excellent relations.
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, with sophomore or junior status preferred.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred.
