About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Summer Intern for the Industrial Commercial Energy group in our Tampa office. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site and collaborate with multiple departments, including Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
You will support senior engineers with daily tasks and project needs. Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyzing continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assisting with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Obtaining drawings from local municipalities.
- Copying and scanning project documents.
- Working with project managers and engineering staff to support project goals.
- Maintaining excellent client relations and a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, with preference for sophomore or junior status.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated work ethic.
- Preferred experience with GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.
