About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Intern for our Community Design group in Tampa. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027. You will work on-site to assist our teams with daily engineering tasks and project support.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations while working under a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Copy and scan project-related documents.
- Work alongside project managers and staff in the Planning, Design (structural), and Hydraulic and Hydrology departments.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients to maintain strong professional relations.
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Civil or Environmental Engineering. Freshman or sophomore status is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach to your work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred.
