About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Intern for the Community Design group in our Fort Worth office. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site, collaborating with project managers and various departments including Planning, Structural Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers in developing spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Copy and scan project-related documents.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients to maintain strong professional relationships.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, with preference for freshman or sophomore status.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated and highly organized work habits.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is a plus.
