About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineer Intern to join the Community Design group in Columbus for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work alongside project managers and engineers across several departments, including Planning, Structural Design, and Hydraulics and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine engineering calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Copy and scan project-related drawings.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients to support project goals.
- Maintain positive client relations and a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Civil or Environmental Engineering. Freshman or sophomore status is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
- Clear communication skills.
- Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is a plus.
