About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineer Intern to join the Industrial Commercial Energy group in Orlando for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position designed for students currently pursuing a degree in civil or environmental engineering. You will work alongside project managers and engineers across several departments, including Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain drawings from local municipalities and handle project-related copying and scanning.
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain professional communication with staff and clients.
- Focus on maintaining excellent client relations and a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for civil or environmental engineering, with preference for sophomore or junior status.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach to your work.
- Clear communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is a plus.
