About the role#
VT Industries offers a Supply Chain Internship in Holstein, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling term. You will work with corporate departments to support procurement needs and help build strategies for indirect services and materials.
What you'll do#
- Support procurement requirements for companywide projects.
- Meet with Department Managers to discuss their needs and verify purchase request specifications.
- Help prepare the procurement business plan and define strategies to reach objectives.
- Monitor spend to find new sourcing and negotiation opportunities.
- Analyze metrics, prepare reports, and create action plans for improvement.
- Troubleshoot purchasing issues and supply chain discrepancies.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate data.
- Professional conduct that respects employees, vendors, and customers.
- Adherence to company policies, including the Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy.
- Ability to sit for long periods, perform light lifting up to 25 pounds, and travel between facilities as needed.
