About the role#
VT Industries is looking for a Software Development Intern to join our team in Holstein, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site as you support our software development projects and maintain existing applications.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement new software features and applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Work with team members to build software solutions.
- Gather and evaluate requirements from end users.
- Update and modify applications to keep them functional.
- Take part in code reviews and help establish development best practices.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and are entering your Junior or Senior year.
- You are self-motivated and organized.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and pay close attention to detail.
- You communicate well in both written and verbal formats.
- You have basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- You are comfortable analyzing and evaluating data.
- You treat employees, vendors, and customers with respect.

- Physical requirements include the ability to sit for long periods, use a computer, and travel between facilities as needed. You may occasionally need to lift up to 25 pounds.
