About the role#
VT Industries is looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team in Holstein, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work across teams to improve our manufacturing processes and support daily production operations.
What you'll do#
- Work with Engineering, CI, and Production teams on various projects.
- Plan, design, and validate manufacturing process improvements using engineering methods.
- Focus on improving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in your assigned area.
- Identify ways to eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
- Calculate ROI and potential savings for your projects.
- Ensure all process designs follow federal, state, and local safety laws.
- Maintain technical documentation for existing processes.
- Communicate project progress to different levels of the organization.
- Travel to other manufacturing sites as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field and are entering your Junior or Senior year.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate data.
- A creative and self-motivated approach to your work.
- Strong organizational skills.
- You treat employees, vendors, and customers with respect.

- Physical requirements include the ability to walk throughout facilities, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel between sites as required.
