Fall 2026 Internship - Accounting / Tax

About the role#

This internship provides college students with hands-on experience in accounting and tax operations within the retail apparel industry. Interns support the department with daily tasks, month-end processes, and administrative projects while gaining insight into corporate finance.

What you'll do#

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with the month-end accounting close process.
• Research customer chargebacks and prepare necessary supporting documentation.
• Build and maintain data templates within the data warehouse system.
• Analyze actual spending and assist in re-forecasting based on current trends.
• Support the team with ad-hoc projects as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Finance or Accounting major.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive company materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A professional approach to receiving and providing feedback.

Location & details#

• Location: Stamford, Connecticut.
• Term: Fall 2026 (up to 15 weeks).
• Modality: On-site, with a requirement to work at least two days per week (up to 20 hours total).
• Requirements: This is an unpaid internship for academic credit; applicants must provide appropriate documentation from their educational institution.
