About the role#
We are hiring a Software Engineer Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on our VestmarkONE suite of financial services, which includes portfolio trading, proposal generation, and investor portal tools. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Boston.
What you'll do#
- Write code for web-based applications and back-office systems.
- Build and maintain features to meet our performance and scale requirements.
- Work in an agile scrum team within a distributed environment.
- Support our core values: We Before Me, Positive Energy, Knowledge Explorer, and Own It.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- You are an incoming college junior or senior.
- Experience coding in Java, C#, Python, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with MVC and related design patterns.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases like SQL Server.
- Experience with algorithmic and object-oriented design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- A desire to learn in a distributed team setting.
