About the role#
DoorDash Labs is an independent team focused on the intersection of software engineering and robotics. We are hiring interns for a 12-week summer program to help solve business problems with technical solutions. You will be fully immersed in your team, working on projects that impact our customers and business. This internship is hosted in person at our offices in San Francisco or Sunnyvale.
What you'll do#
- Develop, maintain, and ship technical elements with support from your mentor and team.
- Collaborate with your team to solve real-world problems.
- Actively learn about the systems and components you contribute to.
- Participate in intern programming, including social events and leadership speaker series.
- Present your findings and work at the end of the internship.
- Incorporate feedback and coaching from your manager and team members.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Available for a May or June 2027 start date.
- No more than 2 years of full-time work experience.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, or Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with databases, such as AWS or SQL.
- Experience with version control, unit testing, and writing clean code.
- Preferred: Previous software engineering internship experience, familiarity with AI-powered tools, and experience with service-oriented architecture or system design.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in San Francisco, CA or Sunnyvale, CA.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
