About the role#
We are looking for a System Test Engineering Intern to join our Core Engineering team for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides hands-on experience in the verification and validation of intelligent monitoring and power management products. You will work on system-level testing across both physical and virtualized environments.
What you'll do#
- Execute system-level test cases against firmware builds.
- Verify product behavior using network management protocols including Redfish, SNMP, Modbus, and BACnet.
- Validate features across web UI, CLI, and API interfaces on intelligent power and monitoring hardware.
- Document and report defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, and supporting logs.
- Use Generative AI tools to assist with test documentation, workflow automation, and log analysis.
- Participate in defect triage and test reviews using Agile practices.
- Monitor test results for data quality and collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals like IP addressing, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSH is a plus.
- Exposure to Linux command-line environments is a plus.
