About the role#
The Sales Intern - Instructional Designer joins the North American Sales Training team at the Westerville Academy for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in the training development lifecycle by working alongside experienced instructional designers and sales trainers. This role focuses on designing and producing training materials that support sales teams on Vertiv products and solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop learning materials across multiple formats including ILT, vILT, eLearning, videos, job aids, and assessments.
- Create and update presentation decks, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and quick reference materials for North American sales teams.
- Support the development of sales training programs to enable teams on Vertiv systems and solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and validate technical and sales content.
- Publish content to the Learning Management System and maintain project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, Instructional Design, Business, English, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- An Associate degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Technical Writing, or related work experience.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and formatting consistency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with or a willingness to learn content creation tools such as Articulate Rise 360, Canva, Camtasia, and Vyond.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Westerville, Ohio.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
