About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Delaware, Ohio, supporting our engineering team with the design and integration of critical infrastructure systems.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Lead Mechanical Engineer with conceptual and detailed designs for HVAC and ventilation systems.
- Create mechanical layouts and provide narratives for Schematic Design, Detail Design, and Construction Drawings.
- Perform thermal transfer calculations and simple CFD analysis.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards and budget requirements.
- Review and approve mechanical product submittals.
- Coordinate with local agencies to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Support integration companies during construction by providing technical information and quality control.
- Specify mechanical components including cooling systems, ductwork, and cable management systems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A background in thermal engineering or relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of the AutoDesk suite, specifically AutoCAD and Revit, is preferred.
- Ability to research new technologies and construction methods.
