About the role#
This internship supports the implementation of PTC Windchill and the migration of engineering data from legacy systems. You will gain hands-on experience with CAD data management, PLM processes, and engineering documentation. You will work directly with Engineering, CAD, and IT teams to complete these project goals.
What you'll do#
- Support the migration of engineering and CAD data into Windchill.
- Analyze, validate, and cleanse CAD models, drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and metadata.
- Perform data quality checks and validation activities.
- Assist with Windchill testing, user acceptance testing, and issue tracking.
- Verify CAD references, assembly structures, and drawing relationships.
- Document migration findings, defects, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with engineering users and implementation partners.
- Create process documentation and training materials.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with CAD tools such as PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting in Python, Java, SQL, or VBA is a plus.
- Exposure to PLM or PDM systems like Windchill, Teamcenter, Agile PLM, or ENOVIA is helpful.
