About the role#
We are looking for a Design Engineering Intern to join our Core Engineering team for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides hands-on experience in hardware and firmware development. You will contribute to design and test engineering projects while exploring the use of generative AI tools.
What you'll do#
- Write and develop firmware and software for the embedded Yoto Linux environment.
- Build new features and software using generative AI tools.
- Use Agile development methods for product design and testing.
- Monitor data quality and integrity to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Keep up with current trends and technologies in data analytics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- A detail-oriented work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work well within a team.
