About the role#
This summer internship focuses on establishing and sustaining ECAD tools and practices across the organization. You will work on developing and managing global libraries, templates, and formats. The role involves providing functional support, resolving application issues, and improving ECAD usage through proofs of concept for advanced modules.
What you'll do#
- Improve ECAD usage by creating best design practices, standards, and proofs of concept for Creo Schematics and Creo Harness Design.
- Implement and monitor governance for ECAD design and PDM system usage across global teams.
- Develop, manage, and maintain ECAD libraries, including schematic symbols, efficiency tools, start parts, and drawing templates.
- Provide functional ECAD application support and resolve user queries.
- Define and maintain ECAD SOPs, job aids, and procedure documentation.
- Lead CAD and PDM upgrades from an engineering requirements and usability perspective.
- Act as the engineering point of contact for ECAD solution providers to track and resolve tool issues.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as Creo, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
- Familiarity with Creo configuration settings and Creo Schematics or Harness Design.
- Ability to evaluate and implement ECAD best practices.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Basic to intermediate technical documentation skills.
- Effective communication skills for working with global, cross-functional teams.
- A quick learning ability and a results-oriented mindset.
