About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship based in Irving, Texas. You will join the Verizon Business Group to work on high-impact projects that support our Global Solutions teams. This role is designed for students who want to apply technical skills and systems thinking to real-world business challenges. You will gain exposure to our AI-first ecosystem and work alongside mentors across various business units.
What you'll do#
- Execute multidisciplinary projects and client initiatives.
- Collaborate with diverse business units on complex technical solution design and process optimization.
- Use modern enterprise AI tools like Gemini, NotebookLM, and Claude to accelerate research and synthesize technical data.
- Build intelligent workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Engage with the broader intern cohort through virtual volunteering and leadership talks.
- Present key project deliverables to the Global Solutions Executive Leadership Team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- In good academic standing.
- Ability to work full-time from June 2027 to August 2027.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship.
- Willingness and ability to travel and relocate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and Google Workspace.
- Experience with complex problem solving, critical thinking, and cross-functional project management.
- Preferred majors include Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or related fields.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role based in Irving, Texas, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- You will participate in an in-person intern event in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
- This position is paid and includes eligibility for the 401(k) Savings Plan and holiday pay.
