About the role#
As a Fabrication Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers, fabricators, and project professionals. You will contribute to projects from the initial design stage through to fabrication and final installation. This role provides insight into how engineering concepts are transformed into real-world structures.
What you'll do#
- Assist with developing and improving fabrication methods.
- Participate in material selection and production planning.
- Support quality control processes.
- Engage in project coordination.
- Work in both office design environments and fabrication or field settings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program for Mechanical, Manufacturing, Civil, or Construction Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Strong interest in fabrication, manufacturing, and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with CAD or 3D modeling software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
