About the role#
As an Environmental Test & Validation Intern, you will assist engineers with product validation activities. This role spans the entire process from the initial request for quotation phase through final customer acceptance. You will work on a year-round basis as part of our vision systems team.
What you'll do#
- Manage the test service request process, including review and analysis.
- Analyze customer specifications to define validation plans and identify necessary tools or benches.
- Write detailed test specifications and validation plans that meet both customer and internal quality targets.
- Schedule validation activities and coordinate with laboratory resources.
- Collaborate with project teams to correct designs and meet performance requirements.
- Develop test environment solutions for Design and Process Validation.
- Oversee test setups and verify test platforms.
- Develop test scripts using NI LabVIEW or TestStand.
- Provide clear work instructions to external test houses.
- Support project teams by analyzing failure modes.
- Improve laboratory tools and processes to minimize test cycle times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW or TestStand is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus.
