About the role#
As a Student Nurse Assistant (SNA) in the Urology Clinic, you will work closely with nursing staff to care for patients while gaining first-hand experience in a hospital setting. This is a year-round, part-time position designed to provide hands-on clinical exposure while accommodating your academic schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct physical care to patients in situations requiring specific technical knowledge and demonstrated competency.
- Work under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and leadership to support patient care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Associate or Bachelor of Science Nursing program.
- Successful completion of the program’s hands-on entry-level clinical course.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous health care experience is preferred.
- Completion of the SNA Supplemental Packet is required for consideration.
Location & details#
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: This position requires a minimum of one 8-12 hour shift per week, with opportunities to pick up additional hours. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on department needs.
- Compensation: $19 per hour, plus additional differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
