About the role#
As a Student Nurse Assistant, you will work closely with nursing staff to provide care for acutely ill patients. This position offers the opportunity to gain clinical experience in a hospital setting while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates your academic requirements.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct physical care to patients in situations where thorough knowledge of technique and demonstrated competency are required.
- Work under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse while caring for patients.
- Commit to a minimum of one 8 to 12 hour shift per week, with opportunities to pick up additional hours based on availability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Associate or Bachelor of Science Nursing program.
- Successful completion of the program's hands-on entry-level clinical course.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous health care experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: This is a year-round, on-site position. Work hours are determined at the time of hire, typically involving 16 hours per pay period. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on department needs.
- Compensation: $18 per hour, plus additional differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
