About the role#
As a Student Nurse Assistant, you will work closely with nursing staff to care for acutely ill patients in the P4 Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Neuroscience, ENT, and Plastics unit. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting while maintaining a schedule that accommodates your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct physical care to patients in situations where thorough knowledge of technique and demonstrated competency are required.
- Perform duties under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science).
- Successful completion of the program’s hands-on entry-level clinical course.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous health care experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: This is a year-round position requiring a minimum of one 8-12 hour shift per week, with the ability to pick up additional hours based on department needs. Managers work to accommodate student schedules.
- Compensation: $18 per hour, plus additional differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
