About the role#
This is a part-time Student Help position within the Clinical Nutrition department at UW Health. You will support patient care and departmental operations at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is ideal for students looking to gain practical experience in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Visit adult patients to assist with meal ordering.
- Collect and calculate calorie counts from patient meal intake.
- Provide administrative support to the department.
- Assist with various departmental projects and initiatives.
- Collect and present data and information related to clinical nutrition.
- Perform entry-level functions as assigned by the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary college or university.
- General customer service and administrative experience.
- Preference is given to students studying Nutrition, Public Health, Health Administration, Kinesiology, or related fields.
Location & details#
- Location: University Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin.
- Work schedule: 20% FTE. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with the potential for occasional weekday hours.
- Modality: This position is on-site.
