About the role#
This Nurse Extern position provides students with hands-on experience in outpatient surgical care. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patient health and recovery. The program runs for 8 weeks during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform patient care and administrative support functions under the supervision of an RN.
- Assist patients with personal care to support their recovery.
- Carry out basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN.
- Ensure a safe environment and the safe delivery of care.
- Maintain your required skills and competencies throughout the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a nursing program.
- You must be entering your last year of nursing school with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- BSN students must have completed their 3rd year.
- ASN students must have completed their 1st year.
Location & details#
- Location: Culpeper, Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 14, 2027 to August 7, 2027).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $17.28 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
