About the role#
This is a paid, part-time Nurse Extern position based in Culpeper, Virginia. The program runs for 8 weeks, starting June 14, 2027, and ending August 7, 2027. You will work 36 to 40 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour shifts. This role requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends.
What you'll do#
As a Nurse Extern, you will perform patient care and administrative support functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your daily tasks include:
- Assisting patients with personal care to support their recovery.
- Performing basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN.
- Maintaining a safe environment and ensuring the safe delivery of care.
- Completing administrative support tasks.
- Maintaining necessary clinical skills and competencies.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently enrolled nursing student entering your last year of school.
- Your graduation date must be between December 2027 and May 2028.
- BSN students must have completed their 3rd year.
- ASN students must have completed their 1st year.

- Location: Culpeper, Virginia.
- Pay: $17.28 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends.
