About the role#
USG Insurance Services, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Business and Insurance Internship in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. This is a paid, on-site role with a rolling start date. You will learn the insurance industry from the ground up through our hands-on program.
What you'll do#
- Gain knowledge of insurance terminology, business processes, and specific coverages.
- Learn how to obtain and market new business opportunities.
- Assist with the underwriting and brokering of new and renewal insurance accounts.
- Conduct research and development for new products, locations, agents, and prospective clients.
- Track sales results and design methods to report those findings.
- Perform cost benefit analysis, bid process analysis, and market research on competitors.
- Research potential clients and develop custom tools and materials for the sales team.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Professional.
- A creative and energetic approach to your work.
- A willingness to learn and the ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
- Experience working effectively within a team.
- The ability to manage multiple projects at once.
