About the role#
The University of Wyoming is hiring a Greenhouse Technician to support the Williams Conservatory. This position reports to the Greenhouse Manager and assists with the daily operations of the department teaching and research greenhouse.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine plant care including watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Monitor and control pests within the facility.
- Collect data and occasionally care for research plants.
- Propagate plants for educational purposes and fundraising.
- Maintain the workspace through regular cleaning and organizing.
- Assist with miscellaneous greenhouse tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have received and accepted a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- Understanding of general horticulture, basic plant care, and watering techniques.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Interest in fields such as Biology or Agriculture.

- This position is located on-site at the Williams Conservatory in Laramie, Wyoming.
- This is a part-time, paid work study role with a rolling term.
