About the role#
The Technology Transfer Office at the University of Wyoming is looking for interns to help promote and commercialize university research. You will participate in an initial training program to learn the basics of technology transfer. After training, you will work with a mentor on specific projects submitted by faculty, students, and staff.
What you'll do#
- Assess and analyze new technologies.
- Develop strategies to protect intellectual property in a cost-effective way.
- Identify specific markets and niches for commercialization opportunities.
- Create marketing materials and social media strategies to promote office activities.
- Assist in the negotiation of research promotion and commercialization agreements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a University of Wyoming degree program, such as an MS, MA, MBA, JD, or a BS/BA program.
- Preferred majors include Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with web and social media platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is preferred.

- This position is based in Laramie, Wyoming.
- The role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote, on-site, or hybrid options pending manager approval.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
