About the role#
The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Wyoming is seeking a Marketing Communications Intern to create visual and written content. You will support the college by producing material for social media, news releases, newsletters, publications, advertisements, and web content. This role requires the ability to work independently while maintaining professional communication with staff, faculty, and students.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the college marketing specialist to address content needs.
- Interview college staff, faculty, and students for writing and social media assignments.
- Proofread and edit content as requested.
- Apply feedback to improve final work products.
- Meet project deadlines.
- Attend weekly or bi-weekly meetings.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong email communication skills.
- Ability to write on various subjects for multiple distribution channels.
- Proficiency in applying the UW Style Manual and AP Style Guide.
- Experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
- Pursuing studies in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or Media Studies.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in Laramie, Wyoming.
- The position operates on a rolling term basis.
- Candidates must be available to perform work on campus at 7,220 feet above sea level.
