About the role#
Studio Coe at the University of Wyoming provides students, faculty, and the public with access to audio-visual, virtual reality, and coding technology. As a Library Technical Aide, you will support the daily operations of the lab, assist patrons with equipment, and help maintain the recording spaces. This position is open to students interested in graphic design, audio-visual production, VR, or computer coding.
What you'll do#
- Manage the Studio Coe Help Desk, monitor emails, and answer phone calls.
- Book podcasting and video recording spaces for patrons.
- Assist users with software and hardware, including VR systems and video equipment.
- Support and team-teach workshops on various technologies.
- Create tutorials and project examples for available software.
- Complete assigned audio, video, and graphic design projects.
- Open and close the lab while maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the space.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a University of Wyoming student.
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- Eligibility for and acceptance of a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- An interest in graphic design, audio-visual production, virtual reality, or computer coding.
- Willingness to develop skills in unfamiliar software.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located at Coe Library, Room 237, in Laramie, Wyoming.
- Compensation is $12.70 per hour.
- The position follows a rolling term.
