About the role#
Studio Coe at the University of Wyoming provides students, faculty, and staff with access to specialized audio-visual, virtual reality, and coding technologies. As a Library Technical Aide, you will support the daily operations of the lab, including the podcasting and video recording studios. This position is open to current students who have been awarded a work study package.
What you'll do#
- Manage the Studio Coe Help Desk by answering phone calls and monitoring the department email.
- Assist patrons with hardware and software, including video equipment, podcasting tools, and VR systems.
- Support and team-teach workshops on various technologies.
- Complete assigned projects in audio, video, and graphic design.
- Handle the opening and closing procedures for the lab.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the studio spaces.
- Develop new technical skills in software you are not yet familiar with.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a University of Wyoming student or confirmed enrollment for the upcoming semester.
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- Eligibility for a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- An interest in graphic design, audio-visual production, virtual reality, or computer coding.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a team.
Location & details#
- Position is located in Coe Library, Room 237, in Laramie, Wyoming.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- Pay rate is $12.70 per hour.
- Hiring is conducted on a rolling basis.
