About the role#
The Event Technology Intern supports the operation of audio systems, video boards, and specialized equipment at the University of Wyoming. You will work in facilities like War Memorial Stadium and the Arena Auditorium to ensure events run smoothly. This is a paid, on-site position for students interested in gaining hands-on experience with event production.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and operation of event technology.
- Maintain equipment and support ongoing technology projects.
- Staff a variety of events, including athletic camps, concerts, and private rentals.
- Work during nights and weekends, including most athletic events like football, basketball, and soccer.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, walking stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at the University of Wyoming.
- A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record that meets university business requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- A willingness to learn new skills and follow directions.
- Capacity to make quick decisions in a team setting.
- Availability to work 10-20 hours per week.
