About the role#
The Event Technology Intern supports the operation of event technology across campus facilities, including War Memorial Stadium and the Arena Auditorium. This role involves hands-on work with audio systems, video boards, and other specialized equipment to ensure events run smoothly. This is a paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and operation of event technology.
- Maintain equipment and support various technology-related projects.
- Staff a variety of events, including athletic camps, concerts, private rentals, and state championships.
- Work evenings and weekends as required by the event schedule.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking stairs and ramps, and standing for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at the University of Wyoming.
- A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with University Business standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Capacity to learn new skills, follow directions, and make quick decisions.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Logistics, or Kinesiology.
Location & details#
- Location: Laramie, Wyoming.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 10-20 hours per week.
- Schedule: Requires availability for most athletic events, including nights and weekends.
