About the role#
The Communications and Content Creator Intern supports the University of Wyoming Foundation marketing and communications team. This role provides hands-on experience in storytelling, donor communications, social media, and alumni engagement. Interns work closely with content strategy staff to develop professional skills in writing, interviewing, and strategic digital communications.
What you'll do#
- Research, write, edit, and proofread communications materials to support fundraising, donor stewardship, and institutional priorities.
- Create content for social media and digital channels to highlight donor impact, student success, and institutional goals.
- Support alumni engagement initiatives through promotional campaigns and event-related communications.
- Assist with photography, videography, graphic design, and multimedia content creation.
- Participate in content planning meetings and collaborate with campus partners on engagement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of Wyoming.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Health, or Graphic Design.
- Experience in communications, marketing, content creation, customer service, or a professional office environment.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design software.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience in research and relationship building.
- A valid driver's license compliant with university driving requirements.
