Associate Director, Student Educational Opportunity

About the role#

The Associate Director of Student Educational Opportunity (SEO) plans, coordinates, and oversees the operational, financial, and personnel functions of federally grant-funded educational access programs. These programs provide services to underrepresented students at the University of Wyoming and in secondary schools across the state. This position involves supervising Project Directors to ensure effective service delivery, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.

What you'll do#

• Supervise, train, and evaluate up to five Project Directors.
• Manage program budgets, personnel functions, and operational policies to meet federal requirements.
• Lead the grant-writing process and submit high-quality funding proposals.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal legislation and institutional policies to ensure program compliance.
• Act as a Project Director for programs during vacancies.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote and expand services.
• Collect and report participant data to track program objectives.

What you'll need#

• Master’s degree in education, administration, social sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience.
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with university business requirements.
• Ability to engage in professional development and supervisory travel, including overnight stays.

Location & details#

• Location: Laramie, Wyoming.
• Work Modality: This position is eligible for remote work up to two days per week and/or a flexible work schedule after completing the first six months.
