About the role#
This position provides support to the University of Wyoming Football athletic training staff. You will assist with sports medicine functions at the High Altitude Performance Center while gaining exposure to first aid care and general sports medicine practices. This role is intended for students interested in fields such as Kinesiology or Biology.
What you'll do#
- Assist certified athletic trainers with the set-up and tear down of team practices and events.
- Help with daily operations of the athletic training room under staff supervision.
- Provide hydration and athletic observation during practices and games.
- Manage inventory, cleaning, and general maintenance of the training room.
- Travel with the team to away contests for game-day assistance as assigned.
- Follow all confidentiality guidelines and perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of Wyoming.
- A confirmed work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- A valid driver's license that meets university business requirements.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Availability to work weekday afternoons, early evenings, and a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
- Capacity to maintain focus and carry supplies for 2-3 hours at a time.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or under supervision.

- Compensation: $9.00 per hour.
