About the role#
The Animal Science Department is hiring a student assistant to help run the Meat Lab sales room. You will assist the lab manager with daily operations at our state-inspected processing facility. This role involves direct interaction with customers and hands-on inventory management.
What you'll do#
- Manage inventory for the Meat Lab and sales room.
- Operate the sales room during weekly meat sales.
- Assist customers and process their transactions.
- Maintain and file accurate records of all sales.
- Keep the sales room clean and prepared for customers.
- Help with other general tasks in the Meat Lab as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of Wyoming.
- A confirmed work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- Reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
- Previous experience in meat processing or retail is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site at the Animal Science Building in Laramie, Wyoming.
- This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term.
