About the role#
The Suit-A-Bull Retail Intern supports the daily operations of the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) by managing USF's professional clothing resource. This role helps students access attire for interviews, career fairs, and networking events while contributing to program outreach and inventory management. Interns gain hands-on experience in retail operations, customer service, and event support while developing career readiness competencies.
What you'll do#
- Provide individualized support to students selecting professional attire.
- Support daily retail operations, including guest check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assist with tracking inventory levels, processing clothing donations, and organizing backstock.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of CCPD programs and services to provide effective student referrals.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Suit-A-Bull program through inventory management and outreach activities.
- Participate in cross-training to provide operational support across the CCPD office.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a USF undergraduate student.
- Valid Federal Work Study funding for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, student leadership, hospitality, office support, or campus involvement.
- Familiarity with CCPD services and programs.
- A demonstrated interest in developing competencies in communication, leadership, teamwork, professionalism, and career development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual communication platforms.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida (on-site at the Student Services Building).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, contingent upon Federal Work Study award limits.
