Student Assistant

About the role#

The Office of Admissions is seeking a Student Assistant to provide support to the Systems and Recruitment teams. This role involves direct interaction with prospective students, families, and recruitment staff to facilitate the admissions process.

What you'll do#

• Staff the Office of Admissions front desk and provide professional customer service.
• Assist Domestic recruitment teams by interacting with advisors and student prospects.
• Input data from inquiry cards gathered at high school visits and college fairs.
• Verify records in the student information system and contact applicants to help bring files to a decision-ready status.
• Explain the application and enrollment process to students and parents.
• Make outgoing calls to prospective, applied, and admitted students.
• Support the Data Management team by scanning, imaging, and verifying application materials.
• Assist the Mail Center by preparing information packets, folding letters, stuffing envelopes, and managing material logs.
• Perform physical tasks including photocopying, packing boxes, and moving materials.

What you'll need#

• General office skills and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with diverse populations.
• Detail-oriented approach to data entry and document management.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

Location & details#

• Location: Tampa, Florida.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for additional daytime hours.
• This is a non-paid Student Temporary (OPS) position.
