Graphic Designer Student Assistant - CUTR

About the role#

The Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida is seeking a student assistant to support the Motorcycle Injury Prevention Research (MIPR) Program. This role focuses on designing creative assets for print and digital campaigns to support research and educational outreach efforts.

What you'll do#

• Create graphics for print and digital materials, including flyers, posters, presentations, and social media content.
• Schedule social media content across multiple platforms.
• Edit short video clips for educational and online use.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students on various creative projects.
• Maintain a professional and positive approach to all assigned tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student at the University of South Florida.
• Strong visual communication skills and an understanding of design principles.
• A portfolio demonstrating creative work in graphic design, videography, or related visual mediums.
• Proficiency in design software such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Basic experience with video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or iMovie.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Preferred: Studies in Graphic Arts, Fine Arts, Advertising, Digital/Multimedia Communications, or Marketing; knowledge of the motorcycling community is a plus.
