About the role#
As a Career Peer intern at the University of South Florida Center for Career & Professional Development (CCPD) on the Tampa campus, you will serve as a student representative and a key support resource for fellow students. This role offers an opportunity to apply and develop NACE Career Readiness Competencies while assisting peers with career-related services and resources.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a first point of contact by staffing Career Express and engaging with students seeking assistance.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on professional documents, including resumes, curriculum vitae, and cover letters.
- Educate students on the Handshake platform and encourage the completion of their profiles.
- Support and represent the CCPD at career fairs and other career-related events.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and contribute to team collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Status as a full-time, undergraduate degree-seeking student in good academic standing at the University of South Florida Tampa campus.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Experience in customer service and student leadership roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a completed Handshake profile.
