About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in avionics and electrical engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the design, production, and launch of space hardware. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis on existing flight hardware and assist in the development of future designs.
- Support testing, systems engineering, mission integration, quality assurance, and launch operations.
- Conduct data analysis, trade studies, and software improvement projects.
- Create or modify tool designs and maintain production work instructions.
- Process cause and corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Support supplier management and component testing.
- Shadow operations and participate in assignments that contribute to larger engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Completed Sophomore year of college or university by summer 2027.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Plans to be enrolled in classes during the Fall Semester 2027.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Status as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
- High School diploma or GED.
