About the role#
Kitchen Externs are an integral part of the team at Union Square Hospitality Group. This role is designed for individuals with a strong passion for food who are eager to develop their culinary skills and contribute to a team that values hard work and attention to detail.
What you'll do#
- Support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality in all daily tasks.
- Refine culinary techniques and demonstrate a desire to learn and grow.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to foster an environment of teamwork.
- Collaborate with the prep and receiving team to receive, label, and store market deliveries.
- Assist line cooks by preparing components for service and learning to set up a station independently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success.
What you'll need#
- Experience in a kitchen environment gained through culinary school or similar education.
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are preferred but not required).

- Compensation: $18 per hour.
