About the role#
The Financial Administration intern supports the preparation and filing of mutual fund reports in compliance with SEC, IRS, and GAAP regulations. This role involves analyzing fund performance, managing expense budgets, and assisting with board reporting for mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products.
What you'll do#
- Prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for assigned funds.
- Maintain expense budgets and accruals based on contractual fee schedules and fiscal projections.
- Calculate standard monthly management fees and distribute fee authorizations.
- Monitor fund performance using internal tracking systems.
- Compile reports for Trust Board members.
- Complete ad hoc projects and reporting as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (equivalent education and experience will be considered).
- Knowledge of financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, derivatives, and foreign securities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues using critical thinking.
