    About the role#

    The U.S. Soccer Federation is launching the inaugural Performance Science Fellowship. This one-year development opportunity is designed for early-career practitioners who want to bridge the gap between academic research and applied high-performance sport. You will work across Youth National Teams, Extended National Teams, and performance innovation initiatives at the National Training Center. This role involves collaborating with staff in performance medicine, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and analytics.

    What you'll do#

    • Support athlete profiling, testing, and monitoring across National Team programs.
    • Translate performance data into actionable insights for coaches and practitioners.
    • Prepare performance dashboards and reports for multidisciplinary staff.
    • Assist with athlete testing, monitoring, and reporting using various performance technologies.
    • Develop expertise in applied sports science within an elite international sporting environment.

    What you'll need#

    • A Master's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Performance Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline (or completion by August 2026).
    • General knowledge of soccer.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • The ability to work in demanding environments.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Atlanta, Georgia.
    • The term is rolling.
