    About the role#

    U.S. Engineering is hiring for a full-time Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This 10 to 12-week program runs from May through August. You will assist Project Managers with planning and coordinating onsite construction activities to ensure projects meet their time and budget goals. You will work on either one large project or several smaller ones.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare technical documentation including reports, RFI’s, and submittals.
    • Support project engineers with scheduling, resource allocation, and task coordination.
    • Visit job sites to gather data, verify installations, and check design specifications.
    • Help identify and troubleshoot engineering issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
    • Take project meeting minutes and document substitution requests.
    • Assist with the development and nurturing of client relationships.
    • Prepare and maintain productivity reports.
    • Participate in training sessions and workshops.

    What you'll need#

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
    • Experience with HVAC, piping, and plumbing in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings.
    • Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes, and standards.
    • Ability to drive results through self-motivation.
    • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
    • Basic business acumen.
    • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

    • Location: Indiantown, Florida.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Physical requirements: This role involves walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling. You will also spend time sitting and standing while using office equipment.
