About the role#
This is a full-time, 10 to 12 week internship running from May through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting project managers with onsite construction activities. The goal is to help ensure project objectives are met within set timeframes and budgets. You will work on one large project or several smaller ones.
What you'll do#
- Prepare technical documentation including reports, RFI's, and submittals.
- Support project engineers with task coordination, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to verify installations and gather data.
- Help identify and troubleshoot engineering issues during design and implementation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to reach project goals.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to build technical skills.
- Document meeting minutes and substitution requests.
- Assist the project manager in building client relationships.
- Prepare and maintain productivity reports.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
- Relevant technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes, and standards.
- A team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Self-motivation and the ability to drive results.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
- A basic level of business acumen.
- The ability to proactively spot problems and find solutions.
Location & details#
- Location: Loveland, Colorado.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $19 to $23 per hour.
- Requirements: You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Physical demands include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
