About the role#
This position supports the transportation network for fresh, frozen, and rendered products. The role focuses on balancing service and cost to maintain on-time delivery while minimizing overall transportation expenses. You will work to align and execute projects that support the Export and Bulk Transportation business plan.
What you'll do#
- Support transportation projects focused on service improvement, visibility, process improvement, and workflow simplification.
- Execute projects including mode of transportation optimization, service and cost initiatives, adaptable supply-chain, and end-to-end export visibility.
- Work cross-functionally with team members across Operations, Finance, Strategy, Procurement, Systems, Safety, Personnel, and Legal/Compliance.
- Meet with stakeholders to drive initiatives and support project needs through local or regional travel to plants and distribution centers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or MBA student with at least one year of school remaining.
- Preferred majors include Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Data Analytics, Agriculture, or Business Administration.
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A team-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and project management skills.
- Previous work experience is preferred.

- Modality: This is an on-site, year-round role based at the corporate headquarters.
