About the role#
This summer internship offers practical experience in property diagnostics, repair, and customer service. You will work as a front-line technician, handling maintenance tasks across our properties. This role is suited for students who prefer active, hands-on work over desk-based tasks.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose maintenance issues and perform diagnostic tests.
- Execute general repairs across properties.
- Coordinate with the Dispatcher to manage your daily route.
- Complete work orders and field tasks in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance to keep homes in good condition.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic devices, and material handling equipment.
- Keep your assigned service vehicle clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
What you'll need#
- Mechanical inclination and the ability to diagnose problems quickly.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively.
- Proficiency with smartphone and tablet applications for daily tasks.
- A professional demeanor when interacting with staff, owners, and guests.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.

- Locations: Duck and Corolla, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Working weekends is required. Two consecutive days off are scheduled during the week.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
