About the role#
This internship is for a curious, service-minded problem solver who wants practical experience using data, systems, and technology. You will support reporting, enterprise applications, Microsoft 365, user support, and process improvement initiatives across our corporate office and hotel portfolio. Working under supervision, you will contribute to defined assignments while learning how technology and analytics support a multi-property hospitality business.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, validate, and reconcile information for dashboards, scorecards, and reports.
- Document metric definitions, data sources, and reporting frequency.
- Support enterprise applications, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and routine user requests.
- Assist with access documentation, equipment preparation, system inventories, upgrades, and user-acceptance testing.
- Create practical user guides, FAQs, job aids, and training materials.
- Map processes and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency and better user experience.
- Support workflow automation, pilot programs, and process changes through testing and feedback collection.
- Maintain project plans, task trackers, issue registers, and meeting notes.
- Protect confidential information and follow cybersecurity and access-control requirements.
- Build working relationships across corporate and hotel teams while communicating progress and findings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an associate or bachelor degree in information systems, business or data analytics, information technology, computer science, business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.
- Experience or coursework involving data, systems, technology, or process improvement is preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Exposure to Power BI, SQL, databases, SharePoint, Azure, Intune, automation, cybersecurity, HRIS, or hospitality systems is a plus.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to follow procedures, security standards, and escalation protocols.
- Capacity to balance priorities, meet commitments, and maintain confidentiality.
- A curious, adaptable, and service-oriented mindset.
